uk recession

i find the goverment is stuck in a rut with anti smoking saying it costs the NHS loads and loads. LOL without smokers this country would be even more F’ed up because smoking brings in so much tax. Perhaps this is a sign they really do need smokers after all and to stop moaning.

Haha, people are going to smoke no matter how many anti-smoking ads are up. And plus, they probably do need to money from taxes and they probably save money not running the ads.

I stopped smoking 35yrs ago , sorry I have not noticed that the adds have not been so in your face.Maybe you are correct ,as we all know Glasgow was built on the Tea and Tobacco Lords/ Shipbuilding to carry the loads . Also the Slave Trade.

We haven’t had smoking advertising for years. However, the U.S. will face the same thing. The government has put such high taxes on tobacco products that they will “kill the golden goose” when it comes to paying these high taxes. Many have quit and the government likes to use these tax dollars to pay for all kinds of social services programs.
