Trying to buy a repossessed house? Help Please! x?
Posted by: | CommentsWe are currently living in Perth, Western Australia but are moving back to England at the end of July. My parent’s have been looking at houses on the internet, last week they found one. It’s a repossession and we are a cash buyer, we asked family and friends to go view the house on our behalf which they kindly did, the estate agent they spoke to said ” No issue us buying the house from overseas as long as we could prove the funds etc” but when my dad spoke to another estate agent within the branch, he was told ” We are not allowed as we haven’t viewed it” We then phoned back a day later to place an offer and spoke to the same guy who was still adamant that we could not do this, a family member then went into the branch and put in an offer on our behalf after an argument had occurred. We later found out that the offer had been rejected but believe it never went to the owner as it was £11,000 over the asking price and at least £7,000 over the previous offer, correct me if I’m wrong but wouldn’t the owner accept a higher offer? isn’t it in their interest to get as much money as possible for the property?
We then got in contact with our solicitor who said “There is no issue with buying a house without viewing it” so he then kindly phoned them and was told the exact same thing, We told them ” We could prove where the money came from, would send over Identification and a statement showing the funds” This still isn’t good enough for them, our family member even offered to buy the house yesterday but was told no! Our solicitor is trying to find out who the owner is then try direct contact with him/her, apparently contracts exchange on Friday!
My mum has also spoke to two different estate agents within the town as was told “No you don’t have to view a house in order to buy it as long as you can prove the funds etc”
Personally believe an underhand deal is going on!
Is this particular estate agent breaking the law in anyway? Doesn’t all offers have to be presented to the Owner, regardless? Why is this estate agent so different to all the others?
We already have plenty of stress with moving to the other side of the world in a few weeks, we don’t need anymore over buying a house,
if anyone could please provide any information that maybe useful, so we can try and understand this bizarre situation, i would be extremely grateful.
Thank you x

How difficult is it to rent a house in Pinellas County FL with bad credit?
Posted by: | CommentsMy husband and I are moving to Pinellas County FL in February. We are looking to rent a small house with a back yard that is pet friendly as we have a small dog. Our credit sucks but we have excellent landlord references and the means to pay an extra pet deposit if applicable. How difficult will it be to rent a house?

Using a House Buying Company Once You’ve Found Your Dream Home
Posted by: | CommentsIn today’s market seller’s market, finding your dream home can take a considerable amount of time. This then makes it more important than ever that when you’ve found dream home, you’re able to proceed as quickly as possible. This is where house buying companies can help.
The traditional way of selling a house through an estate agent can take months – often over 12 months. Will the other party in your deal wait that long? If you can’t sell your house quickly, you risk losing your next home to someone in a stronger position. The seller of your dream home may have an in demand property, with a number of buyers lined up. You don’t want to be in a position where, due to the fact that you cannot sell your property, you lose the chance to buy your dream home.
To secure your ideal home, consider using a private house buying company. By guaranteeing your house sale, timed with your moving date, they can remove one of the biggest potential obstacles to securing your new home.
How can a House Buying Company help?
House buying companies will purchase your house for cash, quickly – often within 7 days. There are many of them on the market, just type in “quick house sale”, “house buyer” or “quick property sale” into Google a long list of them will come up. We suggest you go with a company that is well established, has a lot of buying power, and is not just one guy with a mobile phone and a website.
How does it work?
It’s simple.
House buying companies will arrange for 3 agents to value your property.
They will then be able to make an offer to you based on these valuations.
On accepting our offer, they will agree a suitable date for exchange of contracts and completion.
There is usually no cost or obligation in receiving an offer.
What are the benefits of using a house buying companies?
You guarantee the sale of your home, for cash.
You can plan your move safe in the knowledge your house is sold.
You’re chain free, putting you in a stronger position for buying your new home.
We can complete quickly and to suit your timescales.
