starting my own home renovation company?

after highschool, i want to eventually start my own home renovation company (high end, large scale renovations like 2nd story additons, etc). i would manage the company, supervise construction, do estimates, etc and subcontract the work out. do you think there is a demand for this business, would i do well? what experience and education would I need? can you tell me what kind of university or college programs would be helpful? thanks.

Home Renovation Problem?

Hi my name is OBG, and in my family I’ve been chosen as a front and back lawn coordinator and designer. I planned to put a modern pond with a spherical fountain but, a problem has occurred in the backyard. I wanted to put plants in there like: Jasminum officinale (climbing jasmine), and a biennial called a Digitalis (Purple Foxglove), and a Delphinium but, I cannot find anyone who sells these flowering plants in North America. I live in Canada, Winnipeg, Manitoba and does anyone know where they sell these kind of plants???

Home renovation?

We are currently living in a home that is 12 years old. It was originally a model home, so it has oak trim throughout the entire home (handrails, window sills, etc…) I was told by a friend that oak trim is out of style now and that I should paint over the wood trim to give the home a more modern feel. I would like to know if painting the wood trim would help or hurt resale value.

Where should my Cat live? Home renovation?

My parents are doing a big renovation on the house and are leaving my cat out living by himself for 4 months. We come feed him every day, and check up on him. So far, my cat has settled in nicely and is sticking around the house. He has a cat box shelter from the pet store, with a small table and a carpet covering his house. He is doing fine, but for the next 4 months is this a good plan?

I had a patio cover installed about three months ago. To make a long story short. It has leaked everytime it rains and the company has been out three times to repair it already. It took them a week to two weeks to come out and repair it in between each event. Well, it rained and it is still leaking. It leaks so bad my enclosed room gets completely flooded and it leaks on every seam. It seems to get worse each time they try to repair it. The cover is insulated and cost a little under $5000. I want it replaced with a new cover. The installation was obviously bad. In the event it cannot be fixed I plan on taking them to small claims court but am not sure what needs to be done. I am sending them a certfied letter on Tuesday explaining I will take legal action. Before this, I sent them an email (third time it leaked) and saved a copy. I have photos and video and kept a log of when I called, who I spoke to, etc. Any advice appreciated
