I am trying to save my primary residence from foreclosure. Or what other options do I have if I am 4 months in arrears with my mortgage company? $2,600 x 4 =$10,400. My credit is shot.

Will I be legally bound to purchase two homes???
I’m not rich. I’m definately not qualified to purchase two homes. I just found out, from my realtor, as I was signing the papers, that the house is a “short sale” …. and that “short sales” are not always “short” or “fast”!!!!!
I need to spend my money fast!
Do you have any ideas?
Should I put another offer in on a different house? (This house is seller owned, not bank owned, not anywhere close to foreclosure…)

we are not behind and we have tried to get them to audit our file but they refuse and is proceeding with foreclosure. we cannot afford an attorney. what is our alternative recourse??

Ok it’s been 3 months since I was laid off. It was a forced lay off and I didn’t have enough time in to stay due to my seniority. I’ve been avidly looking for a job so everyone who says to get a job- I’m tryin.
My question is- I’m 21 years old, bought a house a little over a year a go- and 9 months ago I bought a brand new car. I don’t want to ruin my credit score, but I can’t afford my car, and can barely make by with my house. If I sell the car- I won’t get what I owe on it. But I do have about $25,000 in equity in my house. How can I save myself from a repossession/ foreclosure.

I’ve been looking at an informational site and couldn’t find anything that would answer this question plain and simple. For Chapter 7 it said you could keep clothes and furnishings and something else but it wasn’t house. It said everything of value had to be liquidated to pay the debts. For Chapter 13 it said something about mortgage, but it made it sound like it had to be paid off in 5 years, which I know for what my sister owes on her house, she’d only come close if they weren’t charging any interest during that time. If worse comes to worse for my sister and she ends up with her cars going into repossession and house into foreclosure, and she files bankruptcy, can she keep her house and one car, or would she have to sell them and start from rock bottom all over again?

We live on a 1 acre in Phoenix, AZ, we live across the street from very nice houses. Our house isn’t terrible but cozy. It has 3 bedrooms, 1 office, and 2 bath. We have all grass, pool, and horse set up. The neighbors are great and we live 5 minutes from the store. We want to move to a 2 acre lot a couple of blocks down the street. We want to sell it fast and pay of the loan, and the loan is more than its worth. What are some quick ways to sell our home FAST!!! We need to sell NOW!!! We are not even close to foreclosure, but we need to sell FAST!!!!!!!!!!!!

How does a foreclosure on a home in NC work?

Someone I know is having her home foreclosed/auctioned on Tuesday, in Charlotte NC, and I may need to help her find info fast. How long will she have to get her belongings out of the house if the sale/auction is to take place on Tuesday? Will she have to move her stuff out by Tuesday? Or will she have at least some time to get her stuff together and move out?
I’ve already advised her to start packing and moving everything already. I also found a place that has great storage, but need to find manual labor to move the stuff out for her. Any suggestions on finding manual labor to move her stuff would be appreciated as well.
Does anyone know the process? for NC specifically would be awesome!

What should a person who is single makes $30,000 a year, has a very poor credit score of about 500, had a foreclosure and a repossession, but does not have any debt be doing now if they want to buy a house a year from today?
