Repossession?
Posted by: | CommentsAs like most people the credit crunch is hitting hard. I am thinking about just letting my house go and not pay any of the mortgage, and to be honest i wouldn’t be bothered going through repossession proceedings. Can I contact my mortgage company and tell them just to go ahead and take the house without dealing with court etc. Also my mortgage is 95% the value of house plus a unsecured loan at the same rate as my mortgage so in total it makes up 100% mortgage, so if they took/repossessed my house would i owe them any money. The mortgage company is Northern Rock(who it has to be said have been very fair to me up to this point) and i have had the deal 3+ years…Only serious answers please…

Avoid House Repossession UK Top Tips to Stop Eviction in Its Tracks
Posted by: | CommentsIf your looking to avoid repossession there are a few solutions entering the market place in the UK that can prevent you from being evicted and allow you to stay in your own home, the most popular out of these solutions is called the “Sell & Rent Back Scheme” which is designed for an investor to buy your property from you at a percentage of the market value allowing to clear your outstanding balance with the lender clear any unsecured loans and any arrears that you may have and allow you to remain in the property as tenant.
As an alternative to being evicted and depending on the property auction which may still leave you with debts that will be chased this can be a life saver for many individuals and family’s that have been hit by the UK’s growing credit crunch
there are some variations on this model, some allow you to be able to buy the property back form the company that has purchased it at a later date if you financial situation has improved this can often be discussed with the company’s looking to buy the property and it is not unusual for them to make this agreement as it works out well for both party’s
you can take advantage of one of these deals even if a repossession order has been put though court as you will find that the lenders are very welcoming to this kind of transaction taking place as all they are interested in is getting back the money that they are owed, you have to remember that repossession is a very expensive process for them to undertake so you will not find to much difficulty in stopping the repossession should you choose to go ahead with one of these deals

Sell Your Home and Rent it Back to Stop Repossession Fight the Credit Crunch!
Posted by: | CommentsIf your trying to prevent your property form being repossessed, there are several things you can do stop the repossession form taking place, even if you have already received your eviction notice.
One important thing to remember, is that you should take care of the property, one of the most detrimental things that you could do if you intend on avoiding the repossession is to damage the interior of the property.
A lot of people usually strip their property clean of anything they perceive to have value to stop the lender from having as many of their personal belongings as possible. This can sometimes achieve the opposite effect of what is trying to be achieved
a house devoid of heating, carpets, kitchen appliances etc will be worth much less when being sold, considering the cash raised from selling the property will be used to pay off the outstanding balance of the loan and any arrears that you may have have with the lender you should do all that you can to make sure that the property will sell for the highest price possible if they were to repossess it, otherwise you could find your self in the situation were not only do you not have a house, but you still have a lot more debt that you still need to pay off.
Something else to bear in mind when dealing with the lenders is to be honest with them, if your are completely broke and have no money you should tell them. It will cost the lender money to chase you for money so if they are aware that you have none to chase this will decrease the chance that they will push as hard if they thought otherwise.
If you are looking for solutions to stop repossession there are many company offering “Sell & Rent Back” schemes that allow you to sell you house quickly to avoid the repossession and rent the property back from the company you sold it too, in some cases you can agree with them to buy the property back later on if your financial position improves
