Archive for Buying House
I owe 8000 on a repossession. I’m paying $175 a month. If I settled I could pay $5000 or $6000. Should I get a personal loan for this amount? The financing co. says that if I pay the settlement they will “remove the derogatory marking from my credit report” I ask because I am thinking about buying a house or at least moving to another apartment and the bank says that I can’t be considered without paying off the reposession. My credit score is 640. Thanks.
We’re buying a house- and I’m VA qualified, with a mortgage ready to go. The seller’s bank is deciding on the outcome of the “short sale”. The VA is pressuring us to find another house as a “back up” but I worry that we’re going to lose the house we really want because of the delay in this short sale. What can we do to help it go faster? We’ve signed everything.
I am in the business of flipping houses for profit in az. i am buying a house that the former owner died in. Am I legally obligated to indulge this information to prospective buyers? If you do not know what flipping houses means I can tell you real quick. I buy houses for cash and refurbish them to sell for a profit. This particular house I got cheap due to the death of the former owner. I am not sure if Az has a law that requires me to tell perspective buyers about his death in the home. He died of natural causes. If you can help me I would be ever so greatful.

Property/legal advice on buying a house that’s about to go into repossession?
Posted by: dave | Comments (1)Looking for a bit of advice as bank holiday weekend and cant contact anyone until tuesday. I have recently heard of a flat that is about to be repossessed any day now. Its my friend’s neighbour and she is still in contact with her. I was wondering if there is anyway i can buy the house before it gets repossessed, would suit me much better and stop the owner being black listed.
i also have a mortgage at the moment, would i need to sell that and have the money in before i could make an offer? And am i allowed to take my same mortgage deal with me?
I am really desparate for this flat but dont want to get my hopes up incase its just not possible. Im from Scotland if that makes any difference regarding laws.
Would be really grateful if anyone has any experience of this.
Thanks in advance
I am considering buying my parents house to help them out of financial difficulties. As their daughter, am I able to rent it back to them and once they retire will the government contribute towards their rent, or is this not allowed as I am a relative?
Am I right in thinking that pensioners get some council benefits towards the cost of their rent? If I am my parents landlord will they still be eligible for this help?
My idea is that I can buy my parents house which will give them a lump sum to clear off their debts, but they can continue to live there by paying me the mortgage amount. When they retire ( in 9 years) they may get council help with the rent, hence, they live in their beloved home with cheap rent and I have an investment for my two girls. Seems too good to true, so I’m sure this can’t be allowed!
